Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Client Service Manager to win and manage engineering work in the Houston area. In this client-facing role, you will be instrumental in building on our growth in the region and will be facilitating the planning, design, and construction of complex water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects, including the development and execution of budgets, schedules, contract obligations, and quality standards. The successful candidate will be located in Houston. In addition, this position will also encompass the duties of the Director of Design Build for Technical Practices.

Responsibilities Develops significant relationships with new and existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenancePlans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects, for multiple clients, of medium to large sizes of moderately complex natureInitiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations and companiesHas full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignmentsWill manage the Design Build (DB) practice - including tracking projects and pursuits, providing assistance on DB pursuits, developing creative approaches to design build, and developing a discipline specific teamDetermines program objectives and requirements and organizes programs and projectsInvolved in exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approachesResponsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standardsDirects several subordinate supervisors or team leadersResponsible for training and mentoring internal staffPlans and develops projects concerned with unique or controversial problems that have an important effect on major organization programsDevelops standards and guides for diverse engineering activitiesResponsible for acting independently and making authoritative decisions on technical mattersParticipates on team that prepares proposals, conducts interviews, and negotiates contracts with clientsSupports firm's relationships with client management personnelResponsible for identifying and directs sub consultants performing services on projectsActive in professional associations, including presentation of technical papers, member of technical committee, officer of local or national organizationMinimal travel is required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineeringRegistration as a Professional EngineerGreater than 15 years of professional experience (exclusive of any advanced degree)Experience delivering water and wastewater treatment, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution, pipeline rehabilitation, and/or pump station projectsAbility to deliver high-quality services within budget and schedule constraintsAbility to evaluate progress of staff and results obtained, and recommend major changes to achieve overall objectivesAbility to communicate effectively with multiple clients and project teams Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineeringDesign and construction phase experience Pay RangeAn employee’s pay will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
