WORK SCHEDULEMust be available to work Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm EASTERN STANDARD TIME ZONE

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field of nutrition and at least one (1) year in oncology.

Must be able to obtain LDN for the state of Florida before hire.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Full-time, Monday - Friday Work Week, Days

Flexible to meet patient and business needs

Job Summary:  Responsible for assessing patient’s nutritional status and intervening with appropriate medical nutrition therapy and/or education to improve, maintain or optimize nutritional status.  

Provides disease specific management, a working knowledge of oncology principles, the ability to manage a patient’s diet throughout their chemotherapy and assist with the side effects.  

Works with patients and families throughout the course of their treatment and beyond to provide an understanding of their disease and their nutrition plan.  

Clinical Oncology Nutritionist will document the assessment and interventions in real time in the electronic medical record.  

Will collaborate with the oncologist and clinic staff to assist in managing and coordinating patient care.  

The Clinical Oncology Nutritionist will support the mission of the Company and the Care Management department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Minimum of Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nutritional Services. 

Advanced degree or training in the field of nutrition preferred.    

Previous Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field of nutrition and at least one (1) year in oncology.

Office experience: procedure entry with experience in insurance and medical terminology preferred.  

Core Capabilities: Attention to detail, excellent math skills, excellent deduction skills, the ability to work independently, good communication skills, data entry, knowledge of Excel.  

Certifications/Licenses: Maintenance of Dietetic/Nutritionists licensure and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Registration in state of employment. CSO preferred.
