**Overview** This position is located at48th Medical Group RAF Lakenheath Air Base, United Kingdom . Royal Air Force Lakenheath or RAF Lakenheath is a Royal Air Force station near the village of Lakenheath in Suffolk, England, UK, 4.7 miles north-east of Mildenhall and 8.3 miles west of Thetford. The installation's perimeter borders Brandon.Despite being an RAF station, Lakenheath currently only hosts United States Air Force (USAF) units and military personnel. The host wing is the 48th Fighter Wing (48 FW), also known as the Liberty Wing, assigned to United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA). For more information, please visit the following link: https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/working-in-government/benefits/ **Relocation expenses reimbursed (Yes) - You may qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with agency policy.** **Responsibilities** As a Clinical Psychologist you will: + The incumbent works as an independent professional carrying out independent duties in accordance with generally accepted psychological theories, methods, techniques, and practices. + Makes mental health diagnoses in accordance with the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM)when differential diagnosis is required. + Provides individual and group treatment, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychoeducational classes. + Assesses and provides intervention for individuals with a wide range of chronic medical conditions, and behavioral health issues affecting medical conditions. + Performs PCBH biopsychosocial evaluations using expert knowledge of clinical and clinical health psychology. + Consults with primary care providers to select, approve, and document treatment priorities in SMART goal format. + Provides evidenced-based individual treatment and psychoeducational classes for patients enrolled in primary care clinics. + Serves as the authority on primary care psychology for the clinic. + Executes performance initiatives (PI) through revision of clinical standards and procedures; and performs a variety of quality management/quality assurance (QM/QA) duties to meet the Joint Commission (TJC) requirements. + Performs Other Duties as Assigned **Qualifications** **Who May Apply: US Citizens** In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Additional information about transcripts isin this document (https://portal.chra.army.mil/hr\_public?id=kb\_article&sysparm\_article=KB0016283) . **Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist:** **Degree:** Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. **In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:** **Specialized Experience:** One year of specialized experience which includes performing psychological evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, and providing psychological counseling services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. **Licensure** : This position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. **Education** **FOREIGN EDUCATION:** If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
