Title: Clinical Research Nurse II - Oncology

Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital

Responsibilities:

Lead and implement research studies for assigned services under the direction of the Principal investigator in accordance with the standards of good clinical practice, federal and state regulations and institutional review board (IRB) requirements. Lead and implement clinical trials under the direction of the Principle Investigator in accordance with the standards of good clinical practice, federal and state regulations and institutional review board (IRB) requirements. Duties may include: Facilitate protocol developmentComplete trial feasibilityEnsure study start-up completion worksheet is complete with required protocol specific training of research staff and ancillary departmentsEnsure adherence to the study protocol and schedule of eventsPatient visit scheduling for protocol related proceduresScreening, study recruitment, and preparation of IRB reportsEstablishment and maintenance of regulatory documentsPerforming the process of informed consent and HIPPA authorizationClinical follow-up of study subjects including biometric data and specimen collectionCreation and completion of source worksheetsBuilding and maintaining EDC systemsCollecting source data for electronic data capture (EDC) systemsBuilding and completing Case Report Form (CRF)sAssesses patients for trial-related and non-trial related symptomsReporting of adverse events, serious adverse events, dispensing / accountability of investigational productParticipates in additional business activities to recruit new trials or meet recruitment goalsMentors new team members to protocol and site processesMust work independently and use sound judgment while performing job duties. Perform duties as assigned under the scope of related certification or licensure.
