Collections Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Collections Manager to oversee credit and collections operations within a dynamic logistics environment in Miami, Florida. This is a long-term contract position that requires strong leadership skills, adaptability, and the ability to navigate challenges in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to team management, ensuring efficiency and excellence in customer interactions and resolution processes. Responsibilities: • Supervise day-to-day collections activities, ensuring adherence to established procedures and operational efficiency. • Evaluate the quality and accuracy of collections processes through regular monitoring and quality assurance checks. • Lead the onboarding process for new collections staff to ensure smooth integration and alignment with team objectives. • Provide guidance and coaching to collections specialists, addressing questions and fostering growth. • Identify and escalate potential risks or issues to appropriate stakeholders for timely resolution. • Track team performance against predefined targets, implementing strategies to enhance productivity. • Intervene in customer discussions when necessary to ensure resolutions are handled effectively and professionally. • Promote continuous improvement within collections operations by analyzing workflows and recommending refinements. • Collaborate with security and facility teams to maintain a safe and secure working environment. Requirements • Proven experience in B2B collections and credit management. • Proficiency with accounting software systems, including 3M and ADP Financial Services. • Familiarity with CRM platforms and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Strong knowledge of billing functions, cash applications, and cash activity tracking. • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and encourage growth and skill development. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, particularly in challenging situations. • Ability to adapt to a developing and evolving workplace environment. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple priorities.
