**Job Title: Combo Welder (Nights)** **Job Description** Join our service and repair company specializing in pumps and rotating equipment as a Combo Welder. This role requires expertise in reading blueprints, fitting up materials, and welding using TIG, MIG, and Stick methods. You will be responsible for welding internal pump parts and will eventually be trained in braze repair techniques. The position involves working with a variety of materials including bronze, duplex, stainless steel alloys, carbon steel, and nickel. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret blueprints to perform welding tasks. + Fit up own materials for welding projects. + Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on internal pump parts. + Work with various materials such as bronze, duplex, stainless steel alloys, carbon steel, and nickel. + Learn and apply braze repair techniques. + Ensure quality and precision in welding tasks. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 7+ years of welding experience. + Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques. + Ability to perform own fit-ups and read blueprints. + Experience working with carbon steel, stainless alloys, nickel, and bronze. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Brazing experience is highly desirable. + Extensive exotic welding experience. + Pump part repair expertise. + Strong fitting skills. **Why Work Here?** We place a huge emphasis on taking care of our employees, aiming to attract and retain the best talent. Additionally, profit-sharing bonuses are available. **Work Environment** Work in a medium-sized, air-conditioned shop filled with parts and pumps due to high business demand. Although space is currently tight, we plan to move to a larger facility in 2024 or 2025. The night shift consists of 3 manual machinists, 8 pump mechanics, and 1 welder, while the day shift has 7 manual machinists, 10 pump mechanics, and 1 welder. Employees have good tenure or have joined us from other shops with no intention of leaving due to the positive work environment. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses. The night shift runs Monday to Friday from 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with two paid breaks and an unpaid lunch. Expect to work 10-hour shifts totaling 50 to 60 hours weekly, with occasional Sundays offering double time. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
