Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Advisor, where you will play a pivotal role in a Mozambique LNG Project. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in contract negotiation and business management within the thriving oil and gas industry, all while working in the vibrant city of Maputo, Mozambique.
Role Overview Assist in negotiating commercial agreements with the Government of Mozambique related to various contracts and regulations. Establish and maintain relationships with relevant government agencies and stakeholders. Provide support on cross-cutting matters concerning the Mozambique LNG Project. Participate in commercial negotiations and contribute to the formulation of negotiation positions. Liaise with Project Partners and coordinate with Legal and other teams on ongoing commercial matters. Ensure compliance with mandatory reporting and corporate obligations for the Project’s Special Purpose Entities (SPEs). Prepare and submit quarterly and annual activity reports to the National Petroleum Institute.
Skills & Qualifications
Contract Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements. Fluent in English and Portuguese: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese. Business Management: Expertise in managing business operations and stakeholder relationships. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with external stakeholders and government officials. HSE Awareness: Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental policies.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Business, or Law (non-practicing attorney). Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) preferred. 10+ years of business experience in Oil and Gas, Energy, or Heavy Industry. Experience working with governmental agencies and commercial negotiations.
