Commercial Business Partner

Role Summary
Business partner to the commercial and delivery leads for an IQVIA product portfolio(s) to provide commercial and financial support. 
Responsible for the P/L management and forecasting of both revenue and margins including both bottom up and top down forecasting approaches. 
Ensures project financials are properly monitored and managed in pursuit of maximizing project profitability and cash flow whilst ensuring internal and external controls are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Regular monitoring of the pipeline in coordination with the local and regional Sales and Commercial teams in order to effectively forecast revenue through the revenue roadmap process.

Conduct regular reviews and analysis for the assigned offerings, including review of revenue recognition and project performance

Monitor monthly compliance reports, to ensure timely reporting of revenue and billing deliverables by Project Manager.

Prepare monthly reporting requirements for assigned offerings, including unsigned contract opportunities, backlog, and other ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Review and support the Delivery and Commercial teams with the pass-through and non-pass-through cost process.

Review and provide variance analysis to the management P/L for the assigned offering.

Manage the monthly forecast and budget plan for the management P/L and the assigned offering.

Ad-hoc tasks and analyses, as required

Skills, Education and Experience

Typically requires 3-5 years’ business controlling or project finance experience.

University degree (Master/Bachelor) in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent.

Knowledge of revenue recognition, variance analysis, unbilled/unearned and cash flow management, and forecasting.

Knowledge of month end process and P&L management.

Knowledge of Hyperion, SAP and Office applications.

Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.

Good communication skills and pro-activity.

Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.

Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and internal clients.

Able to support the execution of multiple complex projects at once within a team environment while meeting  deadlines.

Fluency in English (spoken and written) to a strong business standard.
