Role Overview
We’re looking for a creative and driven Communications Associate to join our Group Marketing & Communications team. This is a newly created, hybrid role that sits across external communications (social media and media relations) and internal communications, offering a rare opportunity to contribute to and shape messaging for both global external and internal audiences.
You’ll work as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team responsible for managing the company’s reputation, building employee engagement, and elevating our brands across channels. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on producing engaging, audience-focused content in a variety of formats - written, video, and digital.
Role Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Content (45%)
Manage a forward-looking, Group-wide social media content calendar, ensuring a consistent and high-quality pipeline of approved posts.
Develop and produce compelling content including written posts, graphics, and short-form video to promote both our corporate brand and trading brands.
Create, manage, and optimise paid social media campaigns to drive engagement and amplify reach.
Monitor and engage with online communities across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other platforms, supporting reputation management and stakeholder engagement.
Track performance metrics and analytics to evaluate success and provide data-driven insights for improvement.
Internal Communications (45%)
Support the development and delivery of written and video content across internal channels (intranet, newsletters, town halls).
Repurpose external content for internal audiences to maintain consistency and maximise impact.
Contribute to cross-company internal communications campaigns and change initiatives.
Manage and maintain the internal communications editorial calendar in coordination with the wider IC team.
Collaborate across the Marketing & Communications team to support broader Group initiatives as required.
Public Relations Support (10%)
Maintain core PR operations including: Group media lists and spokesperson directories/ Calendar of external events, awards, and speaking opportunities / Media monitoring and preparation of monthly press coverage reports
Provide day-to-day support to the press office and our external PR agency, including handling media enquiries and content development.
Experience / Competences
Essential
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - a natural storyteller with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and platforms.
Proven digital and video content creation skills, including experience with editing tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or equivalent).
A proven interest and sense of news with the ability to identify and source compelling stories from across the organisation.
High attention to detail and strong editorial judgement.
Proactive, self-starter with a can-do attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
Excellent organisational and project management skills - able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CMS platforms.
Desired
Experience running or supporting paid social media campaigns across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), or other platforms.
Ability to analyse campaign performance and distil insights using social media and analytics tools (e.g. LinkedIn Analytics, Sprinklr, Google Analytics).
Familiarity with internal communications tools (e.g. SharePoint, Staffbase, Poppulo).
Experience working in a regulated or B2B financial services environment.
Confidence in presenting content ideas and concepts to senior stakeholders.
Prior experience collaborating with PR agencies or in a press office environment.
Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with brand visual identity principles.
