UPMC is hiring a Community Program Educator (CPE) to support the Specialized Foster Care department under UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough.
The CPE will be responsible for: leading and managing the education programs, initiatives, communications and services, for overseeing and developing partnerships, committees and collaborative initiatives that focus on services throughout the service area, and for collaborating with leadership on strategic goals and outreach opportunities, when needed.
The position is in Westmoreland County, located in our Greensburg office. This is a community-based role, and the incumbent will spend 50%-75% in the field. The ideal candidate will be able to engage people of all backgrounds including peers and people in need of services in the community.
Responsibilities:
· Evaluation and Reporting: Designs evaluation tools to measure program effectiveness and maintains a system for collecting and reporting data on educational efforts.
· Information Dissemination: Coordinates the distribution of information through various channels, including media, emails, lectures, and health fairs.
· Representation: Represents the organization at community and professional events.
· Program Management: Manages the delivery of educational programs to diverse audiences, including employees, agencies, and the general public.
· Needs Assessment: Assesses community needs to identify appropriate training requirements.
· Funding and Grants: Works with leadership to secure grants and corporate funding and assists in writing grant proposals.
· Management Functions: Oversees operations, budget, communications, staff, and project development.
· Volunteer Recruitment: Recruits volunteer educators from various organizations to expand outreach and increase event participation.
