About The Role

This role reports to the Shared Services Operations Manager—Employee Benefits and is responsible for providing employee benefits & HR compliance support for the West Division. 

The role will collaborate and work closely with the Sr Director of Employee Benefits Operations and will influence and promote a positive culture and work environment.

Responsibilities

Manage monthly communications email for the Compliance Newsletter. This also means keeping the current client data updated on the portal.

Deploy standardized workflows for employee benefits compliance.

Set-up and renew the Health Plan Compliance Calendar and respond to the account management team pertaining to the system reminders.

Keep other reminders and compliance documents updated as needed.

Develop templated client communication for account management team to interact with clients

Train and mentor account management team on compliance-related items and/or coordinate training with external and internal resources.

Manage subscriptions to HR California, BLR, Galileo, Mineral, etc. as needed.

Coordinate compliance requirements and best practices with the home office compliance team.

Manage access to the online portal for ERISA Wrap, Premium Only Plan documents, and Benefits Notices.

Interact or communicate with the Account Management Team as directed. May be client-facing, as required.

Requirements

Possess an understanding of fundamental benefit laws, regulations, and compliance standards.

Strong ability to identify and resolve problems utilizing standard guidelines.

Proficiency with employee benefit plan types and structure.

Strong organizational and time management skills, along with a demonstrated attention to detail.

Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient computer skills with agency management software systems.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Attend virtual or in-person conferences to further education/expertise, when needed.

Education/Experience

Minimum 2 years of employee benefits and HR experience.

Life/Health Agent License preferred but not necessary.
