We are hiring a Construction Department Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers responsible for building the largest and most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States. Job Responsibilities

This pivotal role demands a comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process construction scopes, along with strong leadership and planning capabilities to ensure timely delivery, safety, and quality of projects. Your contributions will play a crucial role in expanding operations and developing an ecosystem of construction partners, vendors, and suppliers. This person will be responsible for the following:

Lead and manage a large, multidisciplinary team of engineers in delivering advanced semiconductor facilities.Oversee project planning, coordination, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and process construction scopes.Collaborate with internal design teams to resolve construction-related issues and ensure seamless integration.Plan and execute commissioning activities for all systems while maintaining timelines and quality standards.Drive ecosystem development for construction partners, vendors, and suppliers to support expanding operations.Implement and monitor safety and quality programs across all projects, ensuring compliance with corporate and industry standards.Manage critical-path bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely project completion.Oversee local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) inspection activities and maintain strong relationships with AHJ partners to facilitate approvals.Understand problems that may arise from Section Managers, specifically within construction drawings, and help them create effective solutions. Job RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience in semiconductor or advanced technology facilities construction.Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process construction scopes and sequencing within the semiconductor industry.At least 10 years in managing complex semiconductor construction projects or food and beverage construction projects.Experience in managing at least one mega project ($1B or more) within the semiconductor industry.Knowledge of commercial construction, site development, and gas system management.Knowledge of semiconductor fab operations and cleanroom construction processes.Experience with commissioning processes and AHJ inspection protocols.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite, and MS Project.Must be eager to continuously learn and keep an open mind.Work Environment

The role is based in a construction work environment with a team of 47 people (direct reports), alongside a design team consisting of 38 individuals. The work environment is fast-paced and requires presence on-site at the Phoenix facility 5 days per week. The position entails overseeing a large team and collaborating closely with design and construction professionals.

Compensation Target salary is $180,000/year to $240,000/year, but this is flexible depending on candidate situation and experience. Relocation assistance is available for candidates in any part of the United States. Additional bonuses available for this role.Pay and Benefits
