Construction Inspector
Job Title: Construction InspectorJob Description We are seeking qualified Construction Inspectors to join an industry-leading engineering firm renowned for construction inspection and testing across a diverse range of projects. The role involves performing various tests and inspections on building materials such as concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates to ensure they meet project specifications and codes. These activities will be conducted in the field for municipalities, DOT, airports, and more. Candidates must be comfortable working on a construction site outdoors in various weather conditions. Responsibilities + Perform material testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt concrete, and concrete at the time of placement on an active construction site. + Interpret specifications and working drawings. + Conduct field inspection, testing, sampling, and maintain equipment on assigned projects. + Obtain and record field data in a legible and organized manner as required by the plans, specifications, or project staff, and generate and compile field reports. + Record daily installed construction quantities. + Communicate with team members on a construction site, including the contractor and owner's representatives. + Maintain clear communication with all entities to keep everyone fully informed. Essential Skills + 2+ years of construction inspection experience, ideally for ODOT projects. + ACI Certification. + ODOT pre-qualified candidates are preferred. + Valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications + NICET, Asphalt Testing, Nuclear Gauge, or other related certifications preferred. Work Environment The work environment is primarily in the field on roadway, bridge, municipal, or vertical construction projects. Inspectors will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions and should be prepared for fieldwork involving active construction sites. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
