Construction Inspector- WisDOT

We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Engineering Construction Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring WisDOT construction projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. This role requires a strong background in civil engineering and construction inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct regular inspections of WisDOT construction sites to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
+ Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety standards and building codes.
+ Review and interpret blueprints, construction methods, and contract specifications.
+ Document inspection outcomes and maintain organized records for future reference.
+ Issue violation notices or stop-work orders if construction is not compliant with regulations.
+ Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
+ Provide recommendations for corrective actions and follow-up inspections.
+ Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and project progress.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
+ Proven experience in construction inspection, preferably on transportation infrastructure projects.
+ Strong knowledge of WisDOT standards and regulations.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.
