Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to serve as the primary on-site representative, providing leadership and management to all parties involved in the project. This role is essential in ensuring outstanding project outcomes by meeting or exceeding expectations in terms of quality, schedule, and budget.

ResponsibilitiesProvide support to the Project Manager in the management of the design process with a focus on means, methods, and schedule efficiency.Participate in the estimating process.Assist in the development and provide input on the Master Schedule and General Conditions budget.Coordinate fully with staff regarding contract processes, submittal processes, draw processes, RFI process, Safety processes, punch list process, and job closeout process.Review and maintain full knowledge of all contracts and Purchase Orders, including all revisions.Lead project progress meetings with subcontractors, discussing schedule and performance expectations.Engage in all Owner-related meetings as the primary spokesperson regarding field operations.Lead and manage the punch list process to a quick conclusion.Produce documents efficiently to minimize negative impacts on schedule, budget, and quality.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience as a superintendent.7+ years of experience overseeing commercial construction projects.Knowledge of general construction techniques for sitework, commercial office, light industrial, and retail projects.Knowledge of site development.Proven ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service, including building effective relationships.Additional Skills & QualificationsExtensive experience and knowledge in real estate development and commercial construction.Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, and/or Yardi.Procore certification.Understanding of design software used by consultants such as AutoCAD and Revit.Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite in Metro Detroit.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00/hr.
