Job Title: Contract Administrator

Job Description

As a Contract Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction inspectors and guiding them to ensure that project objectives are achieved. Your expertise will be crucial in interpreting contract drawings, specifications, and standards, while providing valuable guidance to stakeholders and team members. You will conduct periodic inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and safety protocols, prepare and manage progress reports, payment certifications, and claims, ensuring transparency and accuracy, and review contractor schedules to provide insights for keeping projects on track.

ResponsibilitiesSupervise construction inspectors, providing mentorship and oversight to ensure project goals are met.Interpret contract drawings, specifications, and standards, providing guidance to stakeholders and team members.Conduct periodic inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and safety protocols.Prepare and manage progress reports, payment certifications, and claims, ensuring transparency and accuracy.Review and analyze contractor schedules, providing insights to keep projects on track.Actively resolve challenges, recommend mitigation strategies, and oversee adjustments to project plans as needed.Foster compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all phases of the project.Liaise daily with project managers, designers, field inspectors, contractors, and clients.Collaborate with construction administration project management staff for overall management of staff and departmental initiatives.Develop project policies and procedures related to quality, safety, the environment, and professional ethics.Supervise and direct field staff.Conduct constructability reviews as required on highway and bridge projects.Liaise with clients for future construction work.RequirementsExperience in contract administration, construction, and inspection.Experience as a Contract Administrator with MTO or municipal projects, including three assignments with at least one valued at $10M.RCCA requirement or P.Eng. and T131.Experience as a Senior Inspector with MTO or municipal projects, RCSI designation from OSCCET, EIT or P.Eng.Experience in structural, pavement, and grading.Inspector roles require RCSI, RCJI, or EIT designation with generally 2+ years of experience with MTO.Office Person role requires experience as a Contract Administrator with MTO or municipal projects, with RCSI or RCJI designation and at least two assignments as an office person.Needs to be able to travel to the North Bay/Sudbury region on a weekly basis.Work Environment

The work environment includes various sites across Northern Ontario, including North Bay. You will work as part of a team alongside various subcontractors and closely with MTO. The role involves collaboration with Our Client from Infrastructure United, a subsidiary of Our Client.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
