Contracts Administrator

MV Transportation is currently seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our Legal team. This hybrid position is based in Dallas, TX and is ideal for a highly motivated, detail-oriented candidate with strong administrative skills, contract management experience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Develop and oversee the enterprise-wide contract management system, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Serve as the primary liaison between cross-functional departments (Legal, Operations, Finance, Procurement, IT, HR, etc.) to evaluate business needs and to gather necessary information for contract development and execution.Manage obtaining required contract approvals and necessary internal and external signatures.Exercise independent judgment in reviewing contracts for completeness and ensuring all agreements, approvals, and signatures are in compliance with internal policies and risk management practices.Manage the contract lifecycle including dates for renewals, expirations, and reporting deadlines.Work independently and exercise discretion in preparing contract summaries and responding to contract-related inquiries.Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel on significant contractual matters including dispute resolution and interpretations of contract obligations and disputes. Lead the development and refinement of contract templates, standard clauses, and assist with drafting contract terms as needed.Support audits and reporting activities by providing and interpreting relevant contract data and documentation.

Talent Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.High School Diploma (or equivalent) with at least five years’ experience in contract administration, legal support, procurement, corporate paralegal, or similar role also considered.Three (3)+ years of experience in contract administration, legal support, procurement, corporate paralegal, or similar role.Paralegal or similar certification a plus.Strong understanding of contract language, legal terminology, and contract structures.Previous use of contract management, electronic signature, and document tracking software.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Must have strong negotiation, analytical, and quantitative skills.Must be results oriented and thrive in a deadline driven environment.Must have excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, results orientation, and thrive in deadline driven environment.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, etc.), Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and DocuSign.
