We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Control Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Fulton, NY surrounding area.
Salary: $100k- $125K/yr

Job Responsibilities:  Design control systems for continuous web handling machinery to the sold specificationsLead Controls Engineering Projects from kick-off to installation/commissioning at Customer siteCoordinate the review of the mechanical and electrical design to ensure it meets engineering specifications and sequence of operationAssist designers in the generation of BOM's (Bill of Materials)May oversee the work of other design engineers and work with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely mannerProvide backup support for assembly, purchasing and field-service related questions and problemsAttend job kickoff meetings, engineering review meetings, and customer meetingsTravel up to 10% for customer visits, vendor meetings, and start-up/commissioning as requiredPerform other duties as assigned by the Controls and Electrical Engineering ManagerAwareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, EHS&S programs
Basic Hiring Criteria:Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or controls related 4-yr degree5+ years of controls and electrical systems design experience with industrial automation or automated machinery preferredControl System design including electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, BOMs, test plans, manuals, etc.Extensive experience with high-speed servo applications and variable frequency drives (VFD's)Extensive programming knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC's requiredExtensive HMI programming experience using applications including RSView ME/SE or WonderwareFamiliarity or knowledge of web handling/conveyance and or coordinated drive systemsFamiliarity or knowledge of 'closed loop' drive control (not encoder control)-> I.e., Use external feedback device's (loadcell, dancer, etc.) to control the drive and the ability to tune the PID loop for an acceptable motor responseFamiliarity or knowledge of common bus drive systemsExperience with SCADA systems and their requirementsProficiency in AutoCADExpert in utilizing Microsoft Office productsEnhanced written and verbal communication skills requiredCan sit in our Pawcatuck CT and Gloucester MA offices. Any candidates that might sit in CT or MA will need to travel to Fulton for several weeks (home on wknds) for training  Benefits offered vary by contract.
