Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Mason, Ohio. This role is pivotal in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic leadership in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing internal controls, tax requirements, and global financial reporting while fostering collaboration across various departments. Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements while identifying and mitigating risks in accounting processes. • Act as the primary liaison with auditors, bankers, and international operations to maintain audit compliance. • Develop and implement policies for accurate and timely reporting, audits, and tax filings at local, state, and federal levels. • Collaborate with operational teams on inventory management, fixed assets, depreciation, and HR-related financial matters such as payroll and benefits. • Lead and mentor the accounting department, managing direct reports and fostering a high-performing team of approximately 4-5 individuals. • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes through digitization, automation, and other innovative solutions. • Partner with stakeholders to manage legal entity structures, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing strategies. • Monitor and optimize financial systems, including ERP platforms, to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements • At least 10 years of experience in accounting and financial leadership roles. • Expertise in global and U.S. accounting practices, including private company and shareholder accounting. • Strong knowledge of tax structures, transfer pricing, and import/export compliance. • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Epicor, Adaptive, and other leading platforms. • Experience with royalties, license agreements, and duties/tariffs. • Skilled in leveraging technology to optimize processes, implement automation, and drive productivity. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing accounting teams.
