Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of our financial operations in Slidell, Louisiana. This role involves managing budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and reporting processes to ensure the organization's financial health and stability. The ideal candidate will work closely with leadership to provide critical insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and management of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in adherence to regulatory standards.
• Deliver timely financial insights and reports to executive leadership to support strategic planning.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, and overall financial performance to maintain fiscal stability.
• Oversee financial planning and analysis (FP& A) to guide resource allocation and evaluate performance.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with department heads to align financial strategies with operational objectives.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller or senior-level accounting role.
• At least 3 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within a multi-site or operational environment.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams and systems effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills to drive decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
• Proficiency in financial tools and software, such as QuickBooks.
