Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and optimize accounting operations for our organization in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in audit, financial reporting, and compliance, with a proven ability to enhance processes and ensure alignment with industry standards. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of financial systems and delivering accurate insights to support strategic decisions. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all processes. • Implement and optimize accounting workflows to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. • Oversee revenue recognition, lease agreements, and software capitalization in alignment with financial reporting standards. • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Maintain and enforce internal controls, particularly those relevant to public company standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes. • Supervise accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure timely and accurate processing. • Utilize accounting software systems and reporting tools to streamline data management and reporting. • Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering growth and development. • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and innovation. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Strong auditing background, ideally with experience in starting a career in audit. • In-depth understanding of revenue recognition, lease accounting, and software capitalization. • Proven experience with financial statement preparation and regulatory compliance. • Familiarity with internal controls, particularly those applicable to publicly traded companies. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, CRM tools, and financial reporting software such as Crystal Reports. • Expertise in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
