Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented Controller to oversee and manage the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This leadership role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial statements with regulatory and accounting standards. The Controller will work closely with the CFO and executive leadership to support strategic decision-making and maintain robust internal control systems.
Key Responsibilities
•\tOversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
•\tLead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
•\tEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
•\tIdentify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
•\tDevelop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
•\tAssist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
•\tCollaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
•\tProvide financial insights and recommendations to support business strategy and performance improvement.
•\tMaintain and enhance accounting systems and processes, including experience with SAGE or similar ERP systems.
•\tSupport ESOP administration and compliance, if applicable.
•\tSupervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications
•\tBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
•\tMinimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting role.
•\tStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
•\tExperience in the construction industry and familiarity with CMS (Construction Management Software) is highly desirable.
•\tProficiency in SAGE Accounting Software or similar ERP systems.
•\tExperience with ESOP accounting and compliance is a plus.
•\tExceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
•\tStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
•\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
