Responsible and accountable for all accounting, reporting, and control activities affecting AAR Government Services. Partners with program leadership in matters relating to financial reporting, compensation, and business management.

What you will be responsible for:

Primary responsibility is to establish and maintain accounting systems and processes that are necessary for compliance with applicable regulations, including contractual stipulations, SOX and government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)Leadership of the AGS accounts receivable, payroll, project ledger, fixed assets and general accounting teamsCoordinate with multiple stakeholders including AGS leadership on financial accounting matters and the AGS Government compliance team on government contract requirements and auditsMaintain accounting controls over key processes and the related reporting systemsSupervise preparation of billing and/or other related documentation for completeness and compliance with financial policies, procedures and contractual requirementsReview and approve vouchers and/or invoices for payment, as requiredDesign and generate periodic reports for senior management to measure operating and financial performance on the businessCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable lawsSupport audits of the financial records and controlsPerform other duties as assigned.

B.A./B.S. degree from a four-year college or university in AccountingAt least ten (10) years of experience in an accounting / finance role is required.At least five (5) years of leadership experience is required.

Preferred:

Masters degree in AccountingCertified Public Accounting (CPA) LicensePrior public accounting experienceExperience in government job costing accounting environmentExperience Using Deltek Costpoint ERP SystemExperience with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $145,000 to $195,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and ADD insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
