Starting Pay: 27.09

Shift: 2nd Shift 3pm-11pm

Level: Experienced

Work Environment: Onsite, non-climate-controlled

The opportunity:
The Converting Lead role is the first step in a stable Managerial career in packaging manufacturing. Our Converting Lead is expected to ensure there is compliance with all safety rules and protocols in the department, excellence in performance for the department in meeting and exceeding departmental goals for safety, quality, and productivity, lead by example, develop team members, & recognize cross training opportunities along with performance.

5S familiarity to keep work center organized and efficient. Ability to be flexible to help in training needs, vacation coverage, and supervision coverage.Continuous improvement of mindset to lead the department to new levels of performance.Demonstrate functionality in a team setting to help lead the team to success.Open minded to positive critique for self-development.Punctual and eager to take on the day’s tasks.Flexibility to switch shifts when ample notice is given to help the department in critical areas. Ability to work on machines and in areas of the manufacturing floor when need arises.Assist with maintaining inventory levels of critical raw materials.Data entry and accuracy with KIWI Plan/FFF to ensure waste and production entries are captured correctly. Kiwi experience a plus.Familiarity with EVOLs, and RDC components a plus. Genuine desire to train and develop others, a desire to lead and take pride in the work being performed. 

What you need to succeed:

A learning mindsetAbility to read, write, speak, and understand basic EnglishAbility to read materials to understand and apply content, such as instruction manuals, procedure manuals or assembly manuals.Able to read a tape measure and perform basic mathYou must wear safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection and other safety gear as required (We will provide any necessary PPE.)Ability to stand and walk continuously with occasional kneeling, crouching, squatting, bending, climbing, and grasping.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in an uncontrolled temperature environment (hot or cold)
