As a Cook/Baker, you will prepare a variety of food for patients, caregivers and visitors to ensure they have the energy they need to get through their days, no matter how hectic or demanding. This role offers a unique way to enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience and make a difference in the lives of everyone you meet. **A caregiver in this position works days from 10:30AM - 7:00PM or 11:00AM - 7:30PM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Review menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared. + Follow standardized recipes in preparation of all foods. + Plan cooking schedule with supervisor and/or dietitian to ensure food will be ready at specified times. + Confer with dietitians regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers. + Adhere to HACCP guidelines in the storage, handling, and preparation of food and in the sanitation and maintenance of work area. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma/GED + Two years of cooking experience with a variety of menu items + Knowledge of proper food handling, preparation and storage Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Successful completion of a formal training program for cooks or three years of related experience + Successful completion of a Culinary Certification Program Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
