How will you make an impact in this role?
The Security Coordinator will play a critical role in safeguarding the company’s personnel, assets, and operations across our offices in Japan and South Korea. This position supports the Security Services leader in managing physical security programs and the Concierge team, ensuring office safety, and supporting executive protection and crisis management initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, security expertise, and the ability to collaborate across business units to mitigate risks and maintain a secure environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Physical Security / Concierge Team Management
Oversee daily physical security operations for our offices in Japan and South Korea, including access control systems and security equipment maintenance. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures. Manage relationships with third party security vendors (e.g. guard services, equipment providers) to ensure compliance with company standards. Supervise and train the Concierge team to deliver exceptional front-line security and visitor management services. Maintain and troubleshoot office security systems, including alarms, locks, and emergency evacuation / communication tools. Support Emergency Response Team to develop and enforce safety protocols (e.g., security assessment models, evacuation procedures) in alignment with legal regulations and company standards.Executive Protection, Event Risk Assessment Support
Assist in planning and executing executive protection details for senior leadership during travel and high-profile company sponsored events. Conduct advance risk assessment for executive itineraries and recommend mitigation strategies. Partner with business units to evaluate security risks for corporate events. Develop contingency plans and deploy security resources to ensure safety for corporate events.Crisis Management
Act as one of the key responders during incidents (e.g. natural disasters, workplace violence), coordinating to ensure the employee safety. Update and test crisis management plans regularly to reflect on evolving threats. Prepare relevant reports for leadership review.This position requires travel between office locations in Japan and South Korea, and flexibility to respond to emergency situations outsider of regular business hours.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Strong knowledge in security systems and equipment to meet the regulatory requirements and company standards. Strong Concierge team management abilities and problem-solving skills. Knowledge in protective measures for high-profile personnel, threat assessments, emergency response and security protocols to foster a culture of preparedness and compliance. Good communication skills in English and working knowledge of Japanese language. Ability to work under pressure, articulate security protocols and handle multiple priorities.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
3+ years of prior experience in corporate security management. Experience in managing Concierge team, with strong knowledge in security systems and equipment.
