Job Description

Position Summary

The Copywriter is responsible for developing and executing the brand voice of Limelight Hotels across all consumer-facing and internal communication channels. This role supports the Brand Marketing team by crafting emotionally resonant, on-brand copy that enhances the guest experience and drives engagement across marketing, digital, and in-property touchpoints. The Copywriter ensures voice consistency, tone alignment, and narrative quality across seasonal campaigns, new property launches, and operational messaging. This position plays a critical role in connecting creative strategy with business objectives and reports to the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $64,000 to $87,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions

Write and edit clear, brand-aligned copy for seasonal campaigns, hotel openings, website content, social media, email, paid media, and in-property materialsSupport the development and maintenance of Limelight Hotels’ voice system, including tone guidelines, linguistic palettes, and seasonal language shiftsCollaborate with designers, creative directors, and marketers to ensure cohesive alignment between copy and visual assets across all brand communicationsDevelop messaging for guest-facing materials such as room descriptions, menus, confirmations, signage, and service touchpointsContribute to the naming of packages, F&B concepts, events, and property experiences in partnership with the brand and marketing teamsProvide written support for editorial and storytelling initiatives that extend the Limelight brand into lifestyle, culture, and communitySupport internal communication needs, including writing for leadership, internal campaigns, and operational communicationsParticipate in creative reviews and cross-functional meetings to present copy direction, gather feedback, and align on messaging strategyMaintain project organization, version control, and copy consistency using brand tools and platforms such as Airtable and FigmaReview and edit third-party or partner content for brand tone and language accuracyProvide guidance to internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent tone and messaging across platformsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is requiredA minimum of 5 years of professional copywriting experience is requiredExperience should include writing for hospitality, lifestyle, travel, fashion, or editorial brandsPrior experience developing brand voice, campaign messaging, and cross-platform storytelling is strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of storytelling structures, editorial frameworks, and brand voice development.Knowledge of hospitality guest experience touchpoints, including in-room, digital, and service-related messaging.Knowledge of marketing channels and how copy performs across email, social media, paid media, and web platforms.Knowledge of brand standards and editorial style guides for consistent tone and message delivery.Skill in writing copy that adapts across tone and format: brand films, paid headlines, operational messaging, and lifestyle content.Skill in collaborating with cross-functional creative and marketing teams in a fast-paced environment.Skill in using digital tools such as Figma, Airtable, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based workflow platforms.Skill in naming, tagline development, and building scalable copy systems for campaigns and platforms.Skill in editing, proofreading, and version control across multiple projects.Ability to think strategically about messaging while writing with precision and creativity.Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder inputs with professionalism and clarity.Ability to adapt tone and language based on platform, audience, and business goal.Ability to maintain high standards for voice and brand consistency across a large volume of work.Ability to provide constructive feedback and accept revisions with flexibility and collaboration.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time  Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
