Purpose of the job
The Corporate Digital Content Lead will manage the development and execution of social media channel strategies across corporate communication channels, with a focus on community management, paid social media and corporate content development. This includes developing paid social media strategies and organic social media campaigns in line with global communication objectives and messaging, utilizing data insights and measurement tools to inform strategic and creative decisions for digital communications and channels. This role also manages the Digital Channels Lead position, responsible for the engagement strategy on social media channels and website inboxes. The day to day requires strong cross-collaboration, ensuring effective communication and coordination across varying levels of the organization to ensure that all social media activations are aligned with PMI's strategic goals and objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Your ‘day to day’
Social Media Strategy and Development
Develop channel strategy proposals for global communications to ensure ongoing channel visibility and support for large corporate campaigns.
Own and lead the development of global channel content, providing strategic advice to relevant stakeholders including content amplification and measurement strategy.
Plan, develop, and execute campaigns in line with strategic objectives and corporate brand and governance guidelines, including the management of the social media calendar.
Support supervisor to ensure all campaigns are managed effectively and aligned with corporate and external engagement objectives.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media strategy and development. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve the company's social media presence.
Channel Engagement Strategy/CCM
Lead and support the establishment of the Centralized Community Management programme in the Global Communications function, developing the strategy for external channel engagement according to audience needs and platform requirements.
Provide training and support to team members, regions, and communication teams to ensure understanding and adherence to social media community management policies and best practices with the support of the Digital Channels Lead.
Collaborate with crisis communications team to develop updated processes for crisis escalation, including executive and Senior Management Team (SMT) profiles on social media.
Incorporate learnings from centralized community management remit to improve channel communication proposals, prioritizing audience needs.
Paid Social Media Activation & Collaboration
Lead ongoing social media paid activities and campaigns directly with agency, controlling budget and utilizing insights to develop paid social strategies and campaigns.
Advise on paid strategy and investment decisions for ongoing measurement of channel content performance and large global campaigns across all our channels.
Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with the paid media team to ensure alignment of digital global campaigns.
Develop relationships with external platform partners and their respective media teams to increase social media amplification opportunities and stay up to date with the latest channel updates and tools.
Team management and collaboration
Line Manage Digital Channels Lead to ensure their career is supported and developed in line with the PMI DNA, helping to appropriately prioritize and manage day to day tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media strategies with broader marketing and communication plans.
Guide colleagues in the social media team and wider studio to identify new opportunities to engage and reach target audiences with our messaging. This includes providing training, brainstorming sessions, workshops, and regular strategy meetings to foster innovation and collaboration.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Education
Bachelor's Degree
7+ years of experience in:
Agency or in-house experience in social media and digital channel strategies, including content development within the corporate sector.
Working and navigating complex, cross-functional projects while collaborating with internal stakeholders
Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital strategy and social media management.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
Strong understanding of paid social media strategy
Other Skills or Functional Specifics
Ability to build strong partnerships built on trust with multiple stakeholders
Disciplined and collaborative - to engage, collate and interpret requirements and ensure that the right people are engaged at the right time through the process
