The  Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM)  team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. OnBrand, the American Express in-house creative agency, has the ambition to become the internal creative partner of choice by building seamless customer experiences for our Business Units, driving results, and unlocking value for the enterprise. Powered by industry-leading creative, we are focused on developing forward-thinking ideas and working across channels to create end-to-end experiences in digital and beyond. 
 

A successful candidate will leverage expertise in brand, digital and emerging platform and social trends to create cutting-edge, connected customer experiences and creative campaigns with a cross-functional team of experts. As an individual contributor, they will be responsible for generating data and insight-driven, integrated content, creative and channel briefs. They will acquire and share deep knowledge of the industry including the competitive landscape, category disruptors and key business issues that affect American Express. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, the ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, and positive – a self-starter that can build strong relationships with internal colleagues, external partners and agency teams. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

Plays a leading role in building best-in-class messaging across platforms and programs that meet user needs and drive measurable results for the organization. Develops and executes innovative digital, channel, and content strategies across multiple platforms and customer touchpoints.  Develops integrated strategies and creative briefs using data analysis, research, and cultural insights. Seeks opportunities to stay up to date on technology, tools, and emerging media channels. Performs audits of existing platforms & content experiences: analyzing, evaluating and recommending updates. Establishes themselves as a thought leader around integrated marketing and their dedicated lines of business. Forms strong working bonds with internal clients to become their trusted strategic partner. Partners closely with UX team and enterprise digital teams across analytics, SEO, and marketing platforms to create seamless customer journeys across connected digital systems.  

  

Minimum Qualifications 

3-5 years of relevant work experience in agency and/or client-side creative strategy roles. Demonstrated experience developing & executing: Innovative digital, channel, and messaging strategies across multiple platforms and customer touchpoints including digital content creation, 360 campaigns, social media, video, and emerging technologies. Information architecture, including content audits and assessments, sitemap development, and content framework and/or content model planning. Proficiency in data analysis, understanding of SEO, content management systems, and systems supporting connected customer journeys Problem-solving skills and ability to navigate difficult issues. Ability to organize and work with complex information and data. Demonstrated curiosity for trend watching. Effective and clear communicator and presenter, with a talent for articulating complex digital concepts and strategies to partners and stakeholders. Strong project management skills and ability to adapt in dynamic environment, managing multiple projects within the department. 

 

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
