Credit /Collections Specialist
Description We are looking for a dedicated Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This long-term contract position involves managing credit and collections processes, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will play a key role in reconciling receivables, reducing outstanding debt, and supporting financial goals. Responsibilities: • Manage the credit and collections process, including evaluating customer creditworthiness and monitoring overdue accounts. • Collaborate with management to prepare and review monthly cash flow forecasts. • Address and resolve challenging accounts by working with management to find appropriate solutions. • Review and approve sales orders, quotes, and adjustments to ensure accurate accounts receivable records. • Process credit memos, refunds, and adjustments to maintain accurate aging reports. • Support the Customer Service team by addressing customer inquiries related to billing and collections. • Provide customers with requested invoices and follow up to ensure timely payments. • Reconcile accounts receivable balances and ensure accurate payment processing. • Utilize accounting software systems, including Oracle and Microsoft Excel, to perform financial analysis and reporting. • Assist with additional tasks as assigned to support the financial operations of the team. Requirements • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. • A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit and collections, including B2B collections. • Strong knowledge of credit analysis methods and financial statement interpretation, including liquidity ratio analysis. • Proficiency in accounts receivable reconciliation and effective collection techniques. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of macros and formulas for financial analysis. • Familiarity with Oracle and other accounting software systems is highly desirable. • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent communication and organizational skills. • A proactive approach to managing cash flow and maintaining positive customer relationships.
