Directly responsible for all phases of set-up, adjustment, and operation of the Press Cutter and auto stacker. Checks the Cutter frequently for quality of scores and cut, while maintaining productivity standards. This position will also back- fill the Print Operator as well as be able to cover the Assistant Operators ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Set up and operate Cutter and Auto Stacker to achieve productivity standards while maintaining adequate scores and cut, while having minimal issues associated to scrap. * * Manage all aspects of Cutter and Auto Stacker performance such as productivity, quality, and maintenance PM\u2019s. * * Follows all the required PPE & GMP\u2019s per WestRock policy. * * Can properly train new candidates when needed. * * Responsible for team members safety. * * Able to set up upcoming dies. This includes prepping die in Chase, re-knifing, and adjustment of upcoming job. * * Accurately record job data onto all daily production forms and inputted to Shop Floor as well as WIP Tracking. * * Work with maintenance to perform rebuilds and PMs on Cutter or Auto Stacker. * * Recognize and report Die Performance and request new Dies in a timely manner. * * Able to operate both fork-lift and clamp truck lift. * * Maintain department always to be "audit ready". * * Can give direction or guidance to team members when needed. * W * ill be able to cover both Assistant Operators and be the primary Back fill to the Print operator. * Other duties may apply Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
