Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Cardiovascular Electrophysiology (CV/EP) Technician to join our Imaging team at our Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN! This is a casual position, which is a great opportunities to pick your own hours. No weekends or on-call. Day shift only.
The CV/EP Technician assists with procedures in CV and EP providing diagnostic testing, collects and assesses data, performs scrub role and assists cardiologist.
**Responsibilities**
+ Demonstrates ability to safely and accurately operate equipment:
+ Able to electrically and mechanically balance and calibrate pressure transducers and amplifiers in all rooms.
+ Troubleshoots and corrects ECG tracing problems
+ Operates table side C-arm controls
+ Insures all POC testing equipment is maintained according to established standards
+ Applies prescribed three major principals of radiation safety at all times
+ Assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, and more. Using sophisticated fluoroscopic equipment, you’ll be responsible for capturing images of the blood vessels post processing images
+ Operate monitor/recording equipment in vascular surgery/IR procedures.
+ Operate IVUS
+ Assist Vascular surgeon and Interventional radiologist procedures
+ Ability to scrub all IR and vascular surgery procedures
+ Assist provider with required vascular wires and devices
+ Collects, assesses and maintains patient data
+ Enters patient demographics into both monitoring and x-ray equipment
+ Records all patient and monitor data on event log according to established guidelines.
+ Archives procedure to CD-Rom
+ Enters all data into computer system for accurate billing and patient procedure history
+ Reduces all right and left heart data to basic form for physician interpretation and reporting.
+ Assesses and documents pulses distal to catheter insertion site pre and post surgical
+ Recognizes rhythms and sudden hemodynamic changes.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Graduate of an education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
+ CVT, RTR, RCIS, or RCES (within 1 year)
+ Current CPR
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 1-3 Years CVT experience
