Job Description
This role involves the conversion of customer drawings into simple detail drawings using AutoCAD 2D to create manufacturing plans. This position is part of the Deck design team in Fort Wayne, IN, supporting production across various manufacturing plants. The Detailer will spend approximately 50% of their time utilizing AutoCAD 2D for detailed drawings, while the remaining time is dedicated to internal coordination and customer interaction for problem-solving and project delivery. The role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, utilizing a proprietary AutoCAD add-in which will be taught during the training phase.
ResponsibilitiesConvert customer drawings into detailed manufacturing plans using AutoCAD 2D.Coordinate internally and with customers to assist with problem-solving and project delivery.Manage 5-6 projects at various stages of completion.Utilize proprietary AutoCAD add-in for detailing processes.Essential SkillsAutoCAD drafting experience within construction or building design industries.Understanding of structural loads and connections.Ability to review and approve decking design drawings and connections.Familiarity with the approval process on projects involving clients or fabrication plants.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with joists and/or decking design.Experience in leadership or training roles.Strong multitasking skills and organizational abilities.Flexible mindset and collaboration skills.Accountability to metrics and accuracy of drawings.Goal-oriented with a focus on meeting project deadlines.Capability to give and receive feedback effectively.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $23.25/hr.
