Temp-to-Hire position$35.00 /hourFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredFirst Shift (Sunday through Saturday from 08:00am to 06:00pm)A diesel mechanic, also known as a diesel service technician, diagnoses and repairs diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. Their responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs and maintenance, and testing vehicles to ensure proper function. They also interpret diagnostic test results, consult with customers, and maintain records of services.
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:
Diagnostic Testing: Running diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify mechanical problems and determine the extent of repairs needed.Repair and Replacement: Repairing or replacing malfunctioning components, including engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systems.Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and checking fluid levels. TestDriving: Test-driving vehicles to ensure proper function and that repairs have been correctly implemented. CustomerConsultation: Consulting with customers to understand their needs and provide accurate information about repairs.Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles, including parts used and labor time. Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate tools and equipment.Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: . Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.Diagnostic Skills: . Understanding of diagnostic tools and procedures, including interpreting test results.Physical Strength and Endurance: .Ability to lift heavy parts and work in various physical positions.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
