Digital Operations Group Manager

The Group Manager of Digital Operations is responsible for building the direction, creating the strategy, and executing on the organization's digital business efforts. The role creates, manages, and executes business strategies to drive revenue growth, customer centric digital experiences and web property and platform capabilities that deliver business value. This position is responsible for leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM), managing developments in digital content and social media efforts for the enterprise. Using analytics and marketplace data, the position will identify opportunities in industry and develop plans to maximize benefit from current and future trends in conjunction with corporate goals.

Job Duties

Executes business strategies to drive revenue growth, customer centric digital experiences and web property and platform capabilities that deliver business value. Creates innovative processes, products, and solutions in anticipation of trends.

Accountable for short-term goals such as digital enhancements for Travel, Insurance and Service Quality products. Activities may cover both innovation in products and services offered to clients as well as innovation in internal processes.

Accountable for long-term goals such as increased online sales for Insurance Sales Services, Insurance Customer Service services, Membership Sales, Claims and Technology Innovation.

Develops and rationalizes solutions, researching and designing innovative ideas. Oversee the strategy and culture required employees to experiment with the right resources at the right level. Responsibilities may include collecting and testing ideas within the company, assessing and prioritizing opportunities in line with business and innovation strategies.

Maintain a high level of skill and current knowledge of product line and apply knowledge in creation of flow and rules that help guide the development of product initiatives.

Position requires a high degree of independent decision-making and problem-solving skills. Inform the development and implementation of new processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

10+ years of experience in product management, product development, or related fields for digital products.

7–9 years of management and/or supervisory experience.

Proven experience in project management.

Demonstrated ability in managing KPIs for enterprise products.

Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Advanced strategic thinking with the ability to convert strategies into actionable plans.

Expertise in process definition and implementation.

Skilled in coordinating and managing large-scale projects.

Strong strategic, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on user and consumer needs.

Knowledge of user interface (UI) principles and design standards for intuitive web applications.

Moderate ability to compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data.

Advanced organization, planning, and problem resolution skills.

Ability to perform both qualitative and quantitative analysis, including financial forecasting.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the creation of product-related documentation.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.

Demonstrated capability in managing multiple products in varying stages of development.

Results-driven, with the resilience to remain focused and positive in the face of challenges.

Effective multi-tasking abilities in a deadline-driven environment.

Customer-centric and user-focused mindset; embraces Agile methodologies and continuous learning.

Certified Scrum Professional – Product Owner (Scrum Alliance) – Preferred

Scope

Operates with minimal direction, working toward long-term, strategic goals and objectives. Independently determines methods, procedures, and best practices for new or specialized assignments, taking calculated risks when necessary to drive progress.

Tackles complex issues requiring deep analysis of variable factors. May construct and evaluate alternative paths to achieve desired outcomes. Exercises sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria aligned with broad organizational policies and strategic priorities.

Solutions typically require six to twelve months or more to resolve, though may also include projects with shorter timeframes.

Functions autonomously within the boundaries of established departmental policies and practices. Seeks supervisory guidance only when clarification on broader operational procedures is required.

Manages and supervises a team of 50–100 individuals, with 20+ direct reports.

Decisions and recommendations made at this level have significant organizational impact, potentially affecting the achievement of critical objectives and leading to substantial resource investments if misaligned.

Serves as the primary representative of the organization in interactions with internal management and senior value-chain partners. Frequently coordinates across departments and functional areas, requiring the ability to influence and align stakeholders both internally and, when necessary, externally.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$208,300.00 - $277,000.00
