End User Computing (EUC) Specialist

Location: Perth & Onshore/Offshore (Western Australia)

About the Role:

Responsible for ensuring optimal performance and seamless functionality of the enterprise's global end user computing (EUC) environments, while continuously adapting to the fast-evolving technological landscapes. This position entails disciplined management, effective maintenance, and strategic optimisation of all EUC environments to promote enhanced user experience and efficient business operations. You will ensure compliance is being maintained with all standards processes, security, and technical change management of the end user computing (EUC) environment. 

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

IT undergraduate degree or IT tertiary Diploma.

10+ years in Infrastructure roles, with 5+ years in enterprise SOE support.  

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and / or Microsoft certifications.

Experience in AWS, Nexthink, Microsoft’s GenAI, 365, Azure, VM ware.

Technical hands-on experience in managing enterprise-scale and user computing systems and devices.      

Strong understanding of networking, storage, and the OSI model.

Strong analytical skills for resolving complex issues.

Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.                                                        

Strong stakeholder management, relationship building and influencing skills.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Guidance: Provide expert quality assurance and guidance on the service delivery and support of EUC systems, including:

Modern end point management, including OS upgrades

Virtual desktop environments

Mobile device and application management

Highly available software distribution

Packaging and security patch management

EUC device evaluation, selection, system performance and optimisation

Cyber Security: Collaborate with cyber security and engineering teams to proactively identify and mitigate any system vulnerabilities

Incident Support: Lead troubleshooting and provide support to operational teams during major incidents, if required.

Commercial Responsibilities: Where appropriate, undertake commercial responsibilities such as developing and/or reviewing scopes of work for outsourced engagements or service providers.

Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks in EUC environments.

Stay Informed and Drive Enhancement: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in digital workplace and M365 developments, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving initiatives to enhance the digital workplace experience. 

Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Offer Subject Matter Expertise to the enterprise on managing, securing, and supporting EUC environments.

Coordinate Technical Resources: Coordinate technical resources in the EUC Service Line to ensure excellence in managing, securing, and supporting EUC environments according to business priorities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in partnership with Digital technical leads, engineers, and service providers to successfully run, maintain, optimize, and adapt EUC platforms to the fast-evolving technological landscapes.
