Job Summary - Director, Business Operations Continuing Care

Demonstrates a high level of independent decision making and operational ownership of service line under the Sr Director. Builds critical partnerships with other system stakeholders and high levels of collaborations. Represents the department in the community and system. Coordinates departmental operations, strategic planning, quality initiatives, regulatory compliance and integration in collaboration with the Senior Director and other Continuing Care leadership to ensure quality of care provided to patients and families. Partners in developing and executing growth strategies, tactics and plans for service line across care regions to strengthen value to service lines, improving the affiliated acute system and community referral base throughput experience and capture rates.

Essential Functions - Director, Business Operations Continuing Care

Demonstrates a high level of independent decision making and operational ownership of service line under the Senior Director.In collaboration with the Senior Director, identifies, recommends, develops, and updates departmental strategic long and short-range plans to support Continuing Care philosophy and longer-term strategic intent.Organizes, coordinates and integrates policies and procedures with a particular focus on operational excellence, staffing, business operations, management development, and program alignment across all care regions. Leads the operational and quality activities of the department through professional management and technical and support staff.Assesses programmatic strengths and weaknesses, identifies and assesses business opportunities to improve market share and operational efficiency. Develops key performance indicators for new programs and identifies, measures, analyzes and plans implementation of business and growth opportunities.Works in conjunction with Continuing Care leadership, clinical teams and Physician Liaisons for the identification, feasibility evaluation and implementation of new program opportunities. Assures that a high quality of service is provided to patients and physicians at all times, and that all activities are in accordance with the mission, objectives, and standards of care for Continuing Care and Corewell Health.Builds critical partnerships with other system stakeholders with high levels of collaborations. Represents the service line in the community and system.

Qualifications - Director, Business Operations Continuing Care

Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, health care administration or related fieldPreferred Master's Degree or equivalent in business, health care administration or related field5 years of relevant experience in related health care Required3 years of relevant experience three to five years in a leadership role RequiredProven track record of achieving targets and demonstrated ability to think strategically with a thorough understanding of business operations and development. Required
