DIRECTOR, DAY SERVICES

Annualized Salary Range: $61,006.40-$63,700

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm

Provide leadership and supervision to Senior Day Supervisors to ensure quality supports and services are provided to the people with serve in accordance with our Agency Mission.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures programs are in compliance to applicable Federal/State/Local and other governing entities’ rules, regulations and laws while maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base of assigned sites program models and day to day operations. This includes coordinating with SDS to maintain preparedness for external reviews and surveys.
• Immediately addressing and following up on any noted areas that may require improvement.
• Upholding a high quality of supports/services provided to the people attending programs and that assigned sites strive for continued excellence. Ensures that individuals’ rights are upheld and that they continue to grow within their homes/program sites and community.
• Ensures assigned sites are providing supports/services are inclusive and integrated and activities provided include meaningful activities that are person centered and include job readiness skills and prevocational/employment opportunities. Community knowledge and involvement is preferred.
• Coordinates individual placements and ensures pre-admission requirements are met for new people entering the program. Ensures all aspects of program planning/supports and services are person centered. Ensures revenues are maximized by managing program vacancies.
• Responsible for incident management, appropriate notifications, actions and follow up. Coordinates monthly Support Team Meetings for the reviewing and tracking of all incidents and behavior trending.
• Awareness of the following program support needs: staffing resources/FTEs, recruitment, training, information technology, property management etc. and communicating effectively with support departments as needed.
• Supervises the SDS providing support and leadership. Attends monthly staff meetings to receive input and disseminate information.
• Ensures coaching and on-going staff development is occurring for continued improvement of the quality of supports and services.
• Responsible for ensuring all necessary resources are available and provided to staff to ensure their successful completion of duties.
• Assumes a leadership role in developing and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships/communications with individuals, families, advocates, employees, clinical team, the surrounding community/neighborhood and others important in supporting the Agencies Mission and objectives.
• Participates in and assumes leadership role in project assignments, agency committees, meetings and trainings as required.
• Monitor and maintain facilities to ensure a safe environment for the health safety and well-being of the people we support and employees.
• Audits financial ledgers monthly.
• Financial and budgeting oversight.
• Ensures efficient, confidential and comprehensive record keeping as mandated for individual and staff related activities/incidents.
• CPR and Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R) preferred.
• Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a minimum of five years related management experience.
• Computer knowledge and skills.
• Valid Driver’s License that meets agency policy.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
• Lifting requirement of 35 lbs.
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals manually and mechanically as required by prescribed program/plan.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Responsible for the supervision and professional development of Senior Day Supervisors and Administrative staff.
