OVERVIEW:
The Recovery Housing program is a two year transitional housing program for adults who have completed residential drug treatment. The program offers comprehensive case management, recovery support services, career development and cultivates a transformative community based on the principles of recovery, accountability and service. The Director reports to the Deputy Director of The Way Out and leads administrative and program operations of the 75 bed facility. The goal of the program is to improve long-term recovery outcomes, support lifelong success, and help participants transition to financial stability, permanent housing, and lasting self-sufficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead administrative and program operations, and property management. Implement the program’s Policy and Operations Manual (POM), ensure all staff adhere to the POM, and make recomendations for improvement. Maintain fiscal compliance, participate in financial audits, track expenditures and adhere to the program’s budget. Manage data collection, reporting, and program audits. Supervise staff, conduct annual performance evaluations, and provide coaching and support. Represent the organization and program to potential partners, city government, community, donors, advisory board, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with any grants or contracts. Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to provide coordinated service integration between The Salvation Army and outside programs that meet client needs. Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of four years of experience providing social services working to marginalized populations, specifically adults in recovery, reentry, or drug treatment (Required) Two years of experience in social services management, preferably managing residential substance use treatment or mental health programs, sober living facilities, or other residential or community programs serving adults with behavioral halth challenges, and/or with populations with significant barriers to self-sufficiency (Required) High school diploma or equivalent (Required) Master’s Degree in social services, Addiction Counseling, Education, or related fields (Preferred) CA Driver License (Required) Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred) First Aid and CPR certification (within first seven days of employment – company provided) As required, Tuberculosis clearance (within first fourteen days of employment, company provided)SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong writing and presentation skills Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule with some evenings and weekendsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
