Director, Strategic Operations - Production
**Job Description** BAE Systems is hiring a Director, Strategic Operations Production to support our Combat Missions Systems (CMS) business. The Director of Strategic Operations is a member of the Combat Vehicle Delivery Leadership Team who works closely with the Senior Director of Operations to take the lead role in Production Operational initiatives driving safe, on-time vehicle delivery to specification within cost. The role includes oversight of multiple families of combat vehicles across manufacturing sites located in York, PA, Anniston, AL, Aiken, SC, and Elgin, OK. + This position is onsite based in York, PA. + The role requires 25% of travel. Responsibilities: + Provide direct management and strategic leadership of Production Operations across a geographically-disperse manufacturing network. + Ensure alignment of production operations organization to company s business development and operational objectives. + Responsible for instituting systems that provide effective internal management of production operations and driving continuous improvement culture. + Ensure implementation of KPI tracking, S&OP process, and key projects and strategies. + Maintain mutual accountability and communication with functional supporting teams to ensure the success of BAE Systems' programs and businesses. + Effectively build relationships and communicate with key internal and external stakeholders, including multiple USG agencies and company leadership. + Develop a data-driven execution plan based on realistic objectives and sustainable practices. + Build departmental structures and processes that are responsive and adaptable to evolving business needs. + Manage employee performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance problems promptly. + Develop effective and efficient staffing strategies and effectively manage manufacturing and production support budgets. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience + Experience in Manufacturing/Production Management + Experience in Strategic Planning/Operations + Experience in Aerospace and Defense industry + Experience in Requirements Management + Experience in Performance Management + Experience in People Management/Leadership + Ability to provide oversight and management to multi-site operations + Ability to drive strategic vision into actionable plans for cross-functional teams + Ability to hold yourself and your team accountable to meet business objectives + Ability to management requirements, including contractual, technical, and regulatory + Ability to monitor performance through Earned Value Management (EVM), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and Metrics + Ability to identify risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation or contingency plans + Ability to champion innovation, process improvement, and change management + Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills + Strong communication and presentation skills **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Graduate Degree + Professional Certification + Experience in Combat Vehicle Production + Experience in Lean/Six Sigma + Experience in multi-site operations, including process/system consistency + Expertise in Change Management and Continuous Improvement **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $169630 - $288370 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
