The IT Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for leading the strategy, development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s application portfolio. This role ensures that application systems are aligned with business objectives, scalable to meet future needs, and compliant with enterprise standards. This role collaborates across departments to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve user experiences, and drive business value. This is a transformational opportunity, and will lead the selection, migration and optimization of our ERP and Enterprise business system portfolio. Must be based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities Develop and lead the forward-looking strategy and roadmap for ERP and all enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business goals, technology trends, and operational efficiency initiatives and scalability. Lead the selection, migration and implementation of a new ERP system.Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to recommend and implement innovative application solutions.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of application developers, analysts, and administrators.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the applications team and business units.Manage resource allocation to prioritize projects and ensure timely delivery.Oversee the design, development, implementation, and support of business-critical applications.Establish and enforce best practices for software development lifecycle (SDLC), Integration (iPaaS) platforms, change management, and quality assurance.Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs) for third-party applications.Partner with department leaders to understand business needs and align application solutions accordingly.Drive process improvements through an Automation program and team.Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work performance management; department budget. Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of varying scale or scope. QualificationsJob Skills Requirements
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field.Experience Requirements
Ten years of experience in IT and Enterprise Applications. Strong Enterprise level ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Infor)Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.Experience developing modern integration and automation platforms is highly preferred.
