Job Title Director of AI Learning and Development Posting Number F006575 Position Status Full Time Grant Funded No Category APT Class Code 12 Starting Pay $84,321 Special Note Commensurate with education and experience Location District Department DT Organizational Excellence & Development Job Summary Reporting to the Executive Director of Organizational Excellence and Development (OED), the Director of AI Learning and Development is responsible for overseeing the College-wide development, processing, implementation, and monitoring of AI initiatives in support of student learning and employee professional development. This role is pivotal in driving AI initiatives that enhance the learning experience, improve educational accessibility, and streamline administrative operations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Essential Performance Requirements Designs, develops, and implements College-wide strategic AI initiatives that support student learning and employee professional development Coordinates AI projects with internal and external groups to promote college-wide and campus efforts, avoiding duplication Maintains contact with external networks and funding agencies at various levels, marketing the college’s funding needs to potential partners and funders Leads communication efforts about funding sources and professional opportunities related to AI to faculty and staff Ensures all initiatives and program content adheres to all government and College policies Researches, creates, and customizes professional quality AI training and professional development materials for delivery; ensures instructional materials and delivery remain current Reviews instructional materials from multiple vendors and chooses appropriate materials based on intended session goals and objectives Utilizes knowledge of adult learning styles, instructional design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, quality improvement processes, and group process facilitation to enhance program portfolio Uses a the appropriate data collection and evaluation methodologies to determine appropriate AI training and professional development programming and resources Delivers small and large-group professional development sessions in an engaging manner to a range of audiences using the appropriate instructional approaches and delivery methodologies Integrates assessment tools as appropriate into learning and development offerings Identifies opportunities to supplement instructor-led PD with e-learning content Partners with staff, faculty, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure program alignment and effectiveness Consult with leaders to assess needs and design custom solutions based on needs


General Supervision and Management Responsible for personnel management, evaluation, and development of assigned operational and learning and development staff Provides leadership in identifying, directing, continuously monitoring, and supporting training and development designs and implementation
Service Excellence Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
SupervisionWorks under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Organizational Excellence and Development

Required Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree Five (5) years of working experience directly related to the Essential Performance Requirements Three (3) years’ experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others) Two (2) completed semesters teaching as an adjunct or full-time instructor in higher education Current certification in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or closely related area Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Organizational Development, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field Doctorate in Organizational Development, Higher Education Administration, Leadership, or related field At least one (1) year’s working experience leading faculty development and organizational development programming At least one (1) year’s working experience related to technology integration and process evaluation Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of core learning theories, frameworks and assessments and ability to use these in a practical way Knowledge of adult learning principles and change methodologies Skilled with planning and project management Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication Ability to understand data and analytics to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of learning programs and tools Ability to think strategically and translate functional or organizational performance gaps into learning and development strategies Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
