This position is a Leadership Role for Engineering Operations to support creating, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring
Engineering programs.
The overall responsibility of our Engineering leaders are to provide a high level of property maintenance, including maintaining the
building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention toward safety, security and asset protection and is responsible to plan,
organize, direct and control the work of the Engineering Team Members in the Engineering Division within the bounds of the
collective bargaining agreement and, Contractor and Vendors. Activities include providing the technical services, building
maintenance systems, and overall administration of operations to provide an exceptional Guest Experience at the highest standard
of quality.
What you will do
· Property Maintenance and Engineering Operations including fire life & safety, energy conservation, environmental
programs, budgeting and Capital expenditures, project development-planning and execution.
Development
· Development Plans for the Engineering Team Members for future opportunities within the brand and taskforce
Recruitment – source people in the marketplace.
· Identify and recommend potential DOEs for existing hotels and new developments.
· Partner with the Area DOE / RDOE to source and develop regional contracts for product / services that benefit the group of hotels under the region to drive quality, cost, and consistency.
Accountability
· Coordinate and follow up action items identified by Engineering P&P Audit programs including third party inspections to ensure systems are in place and followed accordingly.
· Coordinate the follow up to any energy audits including implementation of ESG initiatives.
· Follow up and action plans from Engineering Audits or other inspections related to Engineering (Energy, Security, Health
etc)
· Establish and provide assistance on adherence to policies and procedures (with standards, benchmark, best practices)
· Compile non-compliance schedules relative to D&C standards and Four Seasons Policy and Procedures.
Communication –
· Participate in Biweekly calls with RDOE / Area DOE as requested.
Emergency situations – Assist with providing guidance and support with critical situations (i.e. hurricanes, mechanical failure investigation)
What you bring
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Related Professional Certification is a plus
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
· 5 years’ experience as Director of Engineering
· Proven leadership skills both inside and outside a property
· Prior experience managing a union group
· Ability to work independently
SPECIAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Strong knowledge of HotSOS a plus.
· Cross Regional/Country experience a plus.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Excellent communication skills-verbal and written.
· Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
· Strong knowledge of the business and operational side of lodging or real estate in addition to the required experience is a plus.
· Computer literacy at high level to include Microsoft Windows environment, Excel, Word, Access, etc.
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to make sound business recommendations or decisions on assigned responsibilities.
· A high degree of analytic ability and inductive thinking.

Compensation
185,000 -195,000 Annual Salary
