Responsibilities

Direct operations of the maintenance and facilities department to ensure alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the organization.

Develop departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements and objectives of the organization.Plan, organize and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.Prepare budgets and ensures compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.Maintains knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations and ensures departmental compliance.Provide support to and solicits input from other directors, leaders, administrators, and physicians. Encourages and establishes a forum for quality improvement discussions, design, and implementation of ideas at all levels.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Preferred Credential(s):
• Certification specializing in Healthcare Facilities.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences High school diploma or GED required; must provide diploma or transcript5 years of Facilities & Maintenance experience required to be verified through employment verification2 years of leadership/ management experience 

OR

Associate's/ Bachelor's degree required; must provide diploma or transcript3 years of Facilities & Maintenance experience 2 years of leadership/ management experience
