The Director of Value Stream Management will play a critical leadership role within the Advanced Structures business unit, overseeing the full lifecycle of products and services, from design through delivery and long-term strategic planning. Based in Everett, Washington, this position is accountable for managing Boeing’s customer relationships, operational performance, and the successful execution of programs.

The Director will lead and ensure the operational excellence of the Everett site. This position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement within a dynamic, global environment. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, operational expertise, and a proven ability to manage high-level client relationships.

What YOU Will Do:

Oversee the full lifecycle of products and services from inception through completion, including pursuit, order capture, design, development, production, delivery, and long-term strategic business planning.Chair the Integrated Project Team (IPT) responsible for managing contract lifecycle, cost, schedule, performance, and on-time delivery of company programs or subsystems of major programs.Serve as the face of the organization to clients and customers, particularly Boeing, and lead client relationship management.Hold Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for a specified value stream or group of value streams within a business segment or portfolio.Manage Everett Operations, functioning as both a Boeing Customer Service Center and Assembly facility, ensuring operational safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics are met.Foster and maintain relationships with Boeing at all levels, supporting both tactical and strategic business initiatives.Specify new products, processes, and standards based on organizational strategy, and set short- to mid-term operational goals.Develop and implement long-term strategies (3-5 years) aligned with the organization’s vision and goals.Collaborate with senior management to support or implement business strategies, including driving innovation and utilizing CORE processes to promote change within the organization.Manage human capital and talent management initiatives to meet the organization’s strategic goals.Drive resource allocation for Boeing programs to meet customer expectations.Support business development efforts, ensuring appropriate resources are allocated to new business opportunities.Ensure on-time delivery and budget performance for Boeing business and Everett operations.Lead strategic initiatives within the organization and maintain recurrent cost envelopes.Domestic and international travel (~20-30%)

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experienceExperience managing large-scale commercial negotiations, particularly with multinational corporations.Operations management experienceExperience communicating and presenting complex topics to senior leadership.Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on driving operational excellence.Worked in a matrix environment leading and influencing across functions, without direct ownership of those functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in multi-site global operations management, ideally with multinational corporations.Familiarity with emerging customer relationship management (CRM) tools and applications (e.g., Salesforce) and leveraging AI for business development and operations.Background in utilizing technical information in a manufacturing or assembly environment.Experience leading large teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategies.Experience using Microsoft office suites.

The salary range for this role is 194,000 USD - 388,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
