Description We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join a dynamic transport company in Chester, Virginia. In this position, you will play a key role in coordinating logistics and ensuring smooth operations, while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: • Schedule and dispatch drivers efficiently to meet customer delivery requirements. • Monitor transportation routes and address any issues promptly to minimize delays. • Collaborate with team members to optimize logistics processes and improve overall efficiency. • Communicate effectively with clients and drivers to ensure clear instructions and updates. • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other software tools to manage data and generate reports. • Handle inbound calls and provide solutions to inquiries or concerns. • Maintain accurate records of billing functions and shipment details. • Negotiate terms and resolve conflicts with vendors and carriers. • Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. • Support the implementation and use of management systems, including TruckMate TMS. Requirements • Proven experience in carrier dispatching and logistics coordination. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas. • Familiarity with CRM tools and transportation management systems such as TruckMate TMS. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Knowledge of IBM AS/400 and other management systems is a plus. • Experience with billing processes and financial services applications like ADP.
