Job Description
We are seeking multiple experienced Distribution Engineers to join our team in the Tampa market. The ideal candidates will possess an engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university, with a preferred experience in electrical or mechanical engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for performing analysis, staking, overhead and underground design, and pole relocation support for utilities across the United States.
ResponsibilitiesConducting detailed analysis and staking for overhead and underground designs.Providing support for pole relocation projects for utility companies.Collaborating on distribution design projects using AutoCAD.Traveling 5-10% of the time to stake projects as required.Communicating effectively and demonstrating initiative in all tasks.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.Possess 1-3 years of distribution design experienceProficiency in distribution design, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.Strong communication skills and the ability to think critically.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in pole analysis, relocation, and replacement.Knowledge of electrical engineering, utilities, power delivery, and power poles.Work Environment
The position is based in an office environment, working 40 hours per week with some overtime possible depending on deliverables, subject to leadership approval. Initial work will require traveling to the office five days per week, with potential for a hybrid schedule after six months based on performance. The role offers holiday and PTO benefits, along with opportunities for growth.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr.
