Distribution Engineer

Actalent is currently seeking multiple Distribution Engineers in the Denver Metro Area. The ideal candidates will possess an engineering degree, with a history in electrical or mechanical engineering. In this role, you will perform analysis, staking, and pole relocation support for utilities across the United States.

ResponsibilitiesPerform analysis for utility projects, including pole staking and relocation.Utilize software tools for pole analysis and staking, such as GDT/Smallworld and DDS.Engage in design and distribution design work.Travel 5-10% of the time to project sites as required.Collaborate with customers, engineers, and field personnel to build strong relationships.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) from an ABET-accredited university.Proficiency in design and distribution design.Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Strong communication and initiative skills.Ability to engage in critical thinking and openness to feedback and learning.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious distribution engineering experience with utilities like Xcel is a plus.Internship experience to demonstrate initiative is ideal.Proficiency in underground and overhead construction practices, with an emphasis on overhead.Work Environment

This position requires working in an office environment for 40 hours per week, with the possibility of some overtime depending on deliverables, which must be approved by leadership. After six months, a hybrid schedule may be considered based on performance. Candidates should be open to traveling into the office five days per week and traveling 5-10% of the time to project sites.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.27/hr.
