Overview The Driver/Operator drives Tanker trucks, MHE equipment, Airfield equipment, Shipboard equipment, and transport/ deliver fuel while on Ascension Island. Will preform repairs to all MHE equipment, Responsibilities Drives all vehicles on Ascension Island. May also load or unload truck with or without helpers. Makes minor mechanical repairs and keeps vehicles in good working order. May grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment. Operates vehicles and loads trucks on Ascension Island. Performs other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications Education: Two years related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required. High School Diploma or equivalent experience desired. Certifications: Preferred Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)Fuel Endorsements. Must be able to pass the Flight Line Drivers course. Experience: Two years’ experience as a driver/operator commercial. Other Requirements: · Preferred current 40hr. Hazwopper certificate with a minimum of 6 months remaining validity.
