Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role in the innovation and advancement of underwater acoustics systems. Your responsibilities will include researching, designing, developing, and testing electronic components. You will collaborate closely with other departments to convert concepts into fully functional designs, ensuring all components meet performance, reliability, and regulatory standards.
ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership in resolving complex design and troubleshooting challenges.Transform concepts into fully functional designs based on specification requirements, incorporating input from customers and collaborating with engineers across multiple disciplines.Design analog and digital circuits to support acoustic navigation and location devices.Develop and design schematics and PCB layouts for components like sensors, microcontrollers, power supplies, amplifiers, FPGAs, and communication interfaces.Integrate FPGAs and other programmable devices into system designs.Conduct design analysis and create circuit-level tests to validate designs, including thermal effects and power dissipation.Develop or specify test methods and associated test equipment to verify board functionality.Identify tasks related to ongoing projects and estimate the required resources, including labor, to achieve project objectives.Prepare and present design reviews, including PDR (Preliminary Design Review) and CDR (Critical Design Review) activities, to ensure designs meet all specifications and customer requirements.Essential SkillsExperience in PCB design, layout, and analysis.Proficiency in digital and analog design.Familiarity with tools like Altium, SolidWorks, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and RTL Code.Full life cycle development and test development expertise.Ability to conduct design analysis and create circuit-level tests.Technical leadership in resolving complex design and troubleshooting challenges.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with FPGA design and integration.Expertise in circuit design and analysis.Ability to develop or specify test methods and associated test equipment.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $220000.00/yr.
